Peachy Keen Stamps, Fantabulous Cricut and Cricut Circle Challenge

For the Peachy Keen Stamp Challenge you had to use the sketch below as your inspiration. The Fantabulous Cricut Challenge asked you to create a card or project using an animal cut (good thing my Paper Doll Dress Up cart came today, which is where I got the unicorn!) For the Cricut Circle challenge you needed to use up those papers and scraps you have had for a while and never used. The cloud background paper I used I have had for about 2 years. I went a little crazy at a Michael's paper sale and bought about 200 individual sheets!

I created a Noah's ark card, which was perfect since I collect Noah's ark! I love it and hope you do too!

Other challenges I entered this is: Creative Inspirations- Animals
Paper Playtime- Miss You

Paper Craft Star and Cricut Cardz Challenge

Today I made a card that fit two different challenges. The first challenge from Paper Craft Star was to use the sketch below to to create a layout or a project. The second challenge was from Cricut Cardz. I had to create a Get Well card using blue, green black and white only.
I decided to turn the sketch sideways and change it up a bit. I used my French Manor cart to create the card form with the sunflower swirl image. I then backed it with white paper and used glitter to fill in the white space. I cut the "Get Well Soon" from Beyond Birthdays and mounted it on green paper. I used black ink on the sides of the green box to bring it out against the light blue. Then I used white and blue gems to create the flower and dots.

Few more older cards- Warning! Some are Better than others :)

Here are a few more cards I've made in the past for my family. I didn't start taking pics of cards I made until more recently, so they were kind enough to take pictures of them and email me! Good thing they kept them!

Jitterbuggin Callenge

This week's Jitterbuggin challenge was to make a card using the provided sketch, using black, white and one accent color. It also had to include one punch and a Cricut cut. Since Black and white in one of my fav color combos, I added a little light teal as my accent color. I don't have very many punches, but I did have an eighth note, which inspired me to do a music themed card. Obviously, being in music ministry, I can never go wrong with music. I used my favorite Hannah Montana Cart to do the Treble clef and the font. I love how it turned out, even though it took me a while to get it perfect:) Enjoy!

Nieces Birthday Card

Back in April, my absoulutely adorable niece Logan had a birthday. She is the only niece I have, and unfortunaetly she lives halfway accross the country. Since I did not know what she might want for her birthday, I decided to send money (even though I wanted to send something more personal.) So I decided that I would make her the best birthday card I could imagine!

She was having a birthday party on an aquarium boat (whatever that is) so I went for an ocean theme. After 4 hours of searching for the perfect stickers, paper and ideas (Michaels, Jo Ann's, Hobby Lobby, then back to Jo Ann's and Michaels!) I came home and spent aother few hours making the card.

I found this great bubble hologram paper at Hobby Lobby, most of the stickers at Jo Ann's and the pearls for the bubbles at Michaels. I used design studio to create the bubbles, then went back and outlined them and added the letters with a cricut marker. I made a pop-up, because I though it would be more fun and allow more stickers :)

A few days later when I got a text with her holding the card saying, "Thanks for the awesome card. I Luv it!" it was all worthwhile!

Other cards I've made recently

CC Weekend challenge

I figured for my first picture I would put up the card that started it all. This weekend the Cricut Circle hosted a weekend challenge to make something using a cartridge I had never used. I had 2 choices- Destinations and French Manor. I had no idea what I was going to do, but I was inspired by my craft room (which is black and white with pops of red) to design this card. Hope you enjoy!

Never too Late to Start

Well, here it is, my fist blog. I refused for a long time to start one thinking "no one probably cares what I think". After joinging the cricut circle and seeing all of the great blogs that other crafters have, as well as the great contests and a chance for me to show off a few things I've done, I am giving it a try. I've never been much of a journal keeper, so please don't expect too much! Wish me luck as I embark on the world of blogspot! :)
